DANGER: Red Flags That Scream "This Makeup Case Is a Waste of Money"
Mirror Render Magic
The oldest trick in the case category. Brands show a gorgeous, evenly lit mirror in the product render and never tell you the actual brightness, color temperature, or whether it even adjusts. I have unboxed three different cases that promised a "pro LED mirror" and shipped a flat, blue panel. If a listing will not tell you how many light settings the mirror has, assume it has one.
No Real Protection
A pretty mirror means nothing if the case crushes in your bag. Cheap soft pouches just zip shut. There is no shell, no structure, and no padding between your products and the next suitcase that lands on them. Thin plastic "hard" cases crack at the hinge within a few trips. Brands love to skip real protection because it is the most expensive part to build.
No Specs, No Brand, No Support
Too many viral cases are generic, white-label listings with no real company behind them. A case worth your money comes from a brand that publishes the dimensions, the battery rating, and the charging method, lists exactly what is in the box, and offers a genuine return window. If a listing hides all of that, you are buying a mystery.
Spot any of these red flags? Put it down. The travel-case market is crowded with products built to photograph well and fall apart by the third trip. Spend your money on cases that publish their specs, protect what is inside, and stand behind the purchase with a real guarantee.
